Multi-hooping using the PSW 2.0

I am posting a brief lesson on Multi-hooping using the PSW 2.0. This lesson is about making your own embroidery to multi-hoop.

Here is an image that I copied out of Electric Quilt. I will be starting a block of the month embroidery quilt using the tradition rose and flower wreath patterns. This pattern makes an easy stencil to work with in embroidery. You can see I have loaded the multi-hoop frame. This design is about 16" square. Check back for the design to be offered later.

Using the digitizing tools I have digitized the portion of this design that will fit in a large hoop. I checked this earlier by using the large hoop image and moving it over the design to see what fit or you can make a multi-hoop sectioning frame that measures 110mm X 220mm to see how your design will measure up..

I will next choose the file menu and wrote using the multi-hoop!

Here you can see that I did a right click and choose all the colors that were digitized. Note the dotted outline of the large hoop area.

I than clicked on the card icon and sent the design section to the card. Save the design segment.

The next step was to select and delete all the colors from the image and digitize the remaining areas. Save the design segment. Write the area to the card in multi-hoop. Once the areas are on the card, take the card to the machine and open the first and then the second areas. Since the designs are all from the same image they will come together in the screen of the XL5000 perfectly.
