Shear Appliqué

To  make a shear appliqué out of the regular embroidery you need to insert a straight stitch frame around the area you wish to be shear.

Make sure you place a stop before you begin. Using a straight stitch click around the area. I traced the area and then selected the oval and copied and pasted it.

Paste the second oval over the first oval.

Paste a third oval and make it a satin stitch to complete the applique.

We used a 35 width.

Next reorder the design to place the stitched oval in the proper sequence. To sew the design, hoop the shear and then embroider the floral design. Right before the oval is stitched, slide the fashion fabric under the hoop and position. Sew the circle and trim the fashion fabric out from under the oval. Sew the stain stitch and then trim the organdy close to the satin edge.
