Great ideas are available from Jenny's Sewing Studio this week.

Check out the great 3-D embroidery designs available. You can make Butterflies or Snowflakes that are free standing. The butterflies look like they could fly and the snowflakes are perfect as fresh falling snow.  I will be placing them on my embroidery Christmas tree. See a free demonstration of 3-D embroidery at Hancock Fabrics in Salisbury on Monday October 10th from 9:30 till 11:30am. I will be at the front door to greet you!

Lacey Snowflakes from Amazing Designs are also a 3-D embroidery design. I will sew the designs out on organza and use a stencil burner to cut the ornaments perfectly.  33 beautiful snowflakes can make quite a blizzard. See all the embroidery by following this link.

The Singer Futura XL400 has been reduced this week to $699.99.  Jenny's Sewing Studio is also offering the Singer Futura XL400 with a software total package  You can also buy the software as individual options. This is a wonderful package to create with for the holidays!

Another new product added to our web site is a Deluxe bobbin winder. If you do a lot of embroidery and sewing consider this tool for saving time and wear and tear on your machine.

Our next class offering is :

Sewing Machine Basics- Learn the basics of using your machine.  We will wind a bobbin, thread the machine and work on the stitch functions. Please make sure you bring your instruction book with the machine. Learn the blind hem, appliqué, mending stitch, buttonhole, sewing on buttons, over edge, twin needle sewing, hemstitching, free motion quilting and more. Bring thread, your machine and scissors plus your book. Fabrics and materials will be provided for $5.00 payable to the instructor. Class is 1 -3 hour lesson - $25.00

Serger Sewing Basics – Learn to thread and use your serger. We will cover the ¾ spool stitch, flat lock and narrow roll hem. You will practice the stitches and make a few projects as you learn. Make sure you bring your serger and instruction manual, 4 cones of white thread, one spool of contrast wooly nylon, scissors, and tweezers. Fabrics and materials will be provided for $5.00 payable to the instructor. Class is 1 -3 hour lesson is $25.00 Limit 6
