Singer Futura XL400 and the Singer Futura Quartet are the newest embroidery machine in the Singer line.  I have been sewing on the Singer Quartet/ Futura XL400 and hope to share some great ideas and articles with you. I will also review the Singer Futura Quartet / Futura XL400 and add a features list to help you decide if this is the machine you need.  (Note that the Quartet and the XL400 are the same machine, the software packages are different.) At this time Singer is selling the XL400 through it's sewing machine dealers. The Singer Futura XL400 is a basic sewing and embroidery machine with multi-hooping and a big hoop.

The Futura has multi-hooping and the new hoop is a clip-on, which makes hoop replacement between designs so much easier. You also have a much larger hoop. ( 6" X 10") With the larger hoop the software now offers design splitting for designs that are too large for one hooping.  You will also note the larger arm width for quilting. Add the "Sew Swift" threading system and the Futura XL400 is quite a package.
