One of
the most FAQ's is "Can I use my old designs on the XL5000 or
XL6000 the answer is yes. Using the conversion tool or the PSW 2.0
you need to find the file in "open design". Look in the
drive window for your file and make sure the file is unzipped. The
following demo will show you all about opening designs, browsing
designs, downloading designs and unzipping designs.
Next
you will need to use the "file type window". Find the
design format to view the files and pick the file you need to open.
Here we are opening a "PES" file.
To
view a design in the catalog window save your designs as PSW or XXX
format. Keep all image and design files in the same folder.
To see
more than one design at a time you will need to make a catalog to
view and print.
Find
the XXX or PSW design and open it in the catalog.
Build
your catalog!
Buzz
Xplorer is a great software to help you see designs you have stored
on your computer. Here is a screen showing Buzz Xplorer looking at
designs in a file on my computer. This software sees all formats.
This
software will also unzip the designs that are downloaded. Buzz
Xplorer is a browser.
If you
decide to download designs from the internet most are zipped. Here
is a SINGER design.
Save the design to a file you can set up on your computer. Our
file is called download.
Extract the design by clicking "open" after you
"save as".
Make sure you save the extracted file to download so you can find
it. Now you can open it in your PSW using the format saved.
