XL 5000 Basics

With the embroidery unit on, you will see design file folder. The first
3 designs are large floral embroidery. |
Use the arrow keys to move through the files. |
To select an embroidery touch the small bottom on the design picture. |
To place the design in the combi screen touch the icon of the tulip
in a hoop with cross. |
Next choose the size of hoop you wish. |
Here is the hoop screen with all sizes shown. hit the go back button
in the lower right corner |
The position screen is selected if you want to move the design. |
Use the arrows to move the design up, down or sideways in the hoop.
In the bottom of this screen you can choose to rotate |
Choose the angle to rotate. |
If you need a grid to line up your embroidery it is always available. |
Hit the go back yellow arrow to go back to the edit screen. |
You can also mirror the design. |
We are going back to the combi of a new design. |
We have chosen words. |
Type in your word using upper and lower case. Touch combi and the new
edit screen will appear. |
To add a new line we need a break after the last word. See where the
cursor is now? |
Here is the break symbol. |
Here is the second line shown in the position screen. Hit go back to
combi |
OOPS! we forgot to add the break to the third line! The text should
read Jenny is sewing! |
To delet the "se" make sure the cursor is to the left of the design
and hit the trash can for each letter. |
Place the new break. You can use the glasses arrow buttons to move
the cursor. |
Position the words. To select the previous word use the eye glasses
to move the cursor so if it to the left of the word. |
Use the grid if you need to measure accurately. |
To change the size of the letters use the edit screen. |
Here are all the sizes. You can also select your own in between size
as well. |
Here is the resized word. |
